Lily Zmachinski, LCSW

Lily Zmachinski (she/her/ella) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California (LCSW #121587) who offers therapy sessions in English and Spanish to kids, teens and parents.

Lily comes to Clinical Psychology Solutions with a background in providing mental health services to immigrant communities in the Bay Area. She recognizes the value of people’s lived experiences and how their identities (e.g., racial, ethnic, gender, religious) affect how they manage problems, interact with others, build relationships, and navigate the world each day. Lily employs a cultural inclusivity lens in her therapy work, and strives to create a safe and nurturing space where people feel heard and supported.

Lily joins Clinical Psychology Solutions as a part-time therapist providing after school and evening sessions. During the day, Lily provides behavioral health support to teens and young adults presenting with acute mental health needs in a community-based setting.

Through a blend of evidence-based techniques and creative interventions, Lily helps clients become more resilient and confident in themselves and their abilities, manage stress, and develop positive coping strategies.

A trauma therapist by training, Lily applies techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic or insight-oriented therapy, and principles of humanistic psychology. She has years of experience working with children, teens, and families who may be navigating challenging situations from childhood trauma and complicated family dynamics to identity and acculturation issues.

Outside of being a therapist, Lily enjoys running, baking treats for friends and family, and weaving textile projects.
